• In his previous podcast episode, Mohamed Abdelaaty welcomed a healed addict who shared his story of resilience and transformation. Mahmoud Samir opened up about his battle with drug addiction and revealed how he finally broke free after years of struggle

• Mahmoud opened up about how his battle with drug addiction began at just 14. Growing up watching his mom take antidepressants, he thought taking them would be the answer to managing his ADHD

• As he got older, so did his addiction to antidepressants. It got so bad that he was using excessive drugs and alcohol, which led his family to make the tough decision to send him to rehab. He went to countless rehabs, but every time he got out, he’d end up back on drugs by the very same day. It was like a never-ending cycle he couldn’t escape from

• Mahmoud didn’t just attempt suicide once, but three times… breaking bones and losing his vision in the process

• But his final suicide attempt ended up being his wake-up call. That’s when he made the life-changing decision to go to rehab and commit to getting better. He refused to leave until he was 100% free of toxins, determined to turn his life around once and for all

• Mahmoud is now over a year and two months drug-free! He’s using his story to inspire others, helping them overcome their own battles with addiction and self-harm.

• Mahmoud quickly became a beacon of motivation for anyone who stumbled upon his videos. His story and resilience are a powerful reminder that no matter how tough things get, there’s always a way out
