A Boat With 45 People Onboard Sank In Marsa Alam!

• In an unexpected turn of events, a diving trip turned into a rescue operation off the coast of Marsa Alam, Egypt

• The Sea Story, carrying 45 people—including 31 tourists of diverse nationalities and 14 crew members—was on a multi-day diving trip when it sank near the coastal town of Marsa Alam

• Renowned for its breathtaking coral reefs and marine life, the Red Sea is a magnet for diving enthusiasts, making this incident a shocking disruption to what many had anticipated as a bucket-list adventure.

• Authorities received a distress call at 5:30 a.m. local time on Monday, setting in motion a coordinated rescue operation led by the Red Sea Governorate
