"Lam Shamseya wasn't just a series, it's reality" Public Demands Justice for Yassin
A widely circulated story on social media has drawn public attention to the case of a six-year-old boy named Yassin, who was allegedly subjected to repeated sexual abuse by an 80-year-old staff member at a well-known school in Damanhour.
The school nanny allegedly escorted the boy to the perpetrator on multiple occasions, with the child remaining silent for months due to claims of receiving death threats from the man. Only after the child was moving countries, did he bravely decide to speak out on the abuse.
When Yassin confided in his teacher, she did not notify authorities but instead took him to the school principal.
According to the allegations, no official report or investigation was initiated by the school. Instead, the child was only encouraged to physically strike the accused with a stick to "get his right back" by the principal.
A medical examination reportedly confirmed signs of prolonged abuse, including trauma to the anal area, which the reports link to repeated sexual assault.
Yassin also disclosed other forms of abuse, including being forced to participate in oral acts.
Public reactions have been strong, with many calling for the removal of the alleged abuser, the nanny, the teacher, and the principal from the school. There have also been appeals for other possible victims to come forward before the scheduled court hearing on Wednesday, April 20.

Sandstorm Season Is Back: Get Ready for a Windy Midweek in Egypt!
If you’ve got outdoor plans this Wednesday, it might be time to rethink them — the weather’s about to get wild.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a heads-up for the next 48 hours: expect strong winds loaded with dust and sand, potentially turning into full-on sandstorms in some areas. Yes, it’s officially “hold onto your hat” weather.
Blame it on a khamaseen depression blowing in from the Sahara, kicking up winds at speeds between 65 to 90 km/h — enough to cause serious chaos, especially along the Mediterranean coast, where maritime activities may face disruption. And as if that’s not enough drama, some parts of the north may even get a splash of thunder and rain.
So if you’re hitting the roads, wear a mask, keep the windows rolled up, and maybe skip the hair styling altogether. For those with respiratory issues — take extra care. This dusty diva of a storm doesn’t play.
Stay safe, stay indoors (if you can), and maybe keep your weather app close — it’s going to be a bumpy ride midweek!
