3 Dead And 13 Still missing In the Marsa Alam Boat Sinking Incident…

• Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, announced that rescue efforts have successfully saved 29 people so far from the sinking of the tourist boat “Sea Story” north of Marsa Alam, while search operations are still ongoing to locate 13 other missing individuals.

• The tragic incident occurred Monday morning off the coast of Marsa Alam when a tourist boat sank during a diving trip, leaving several people missing and three confirmed dead.

• The boat, carrying 45 people—including 31 tourists and 14 crew members—sank in the Ghadir area of Wadi El Gemal.

• Search and rescue efforts, involving military helicopters and a naval frigate, have been ongoing since Monday.

• Today, Governor Amr Hanafi confirmed that one Egyptian survivor had been found, while the bodies of three others were recovered. The authorities are still working to identify the victims.

  Among the missing are 13 foreign nationals: two British, two Polish, four Germans, one Swiss, one Finnish, and three Belgians.
